COVID-19 POLICY

This policy outlines the key measures I have put in place to reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19. It is subject to change.

Update 10 June 2022

I am following the government's Living safely with respiratory infections, including COVID-19 advice.

In line with the recent updates I have made the following additions to my COVID policy:

  • I am offering both face to face and online sessions to clients.

  • Face coverings are not mandatory in the therapy room, unless clients choose to wear them. I will also wear a mask if client's prefer.

  • Hand sanitiser is provided and clients are encouraged to use it before and after sessions.

  • Surfaces are cleaned between sessions.

  • The door is opened between sessions to help ventilate the room.

COVID-19 Risk Assessment

I have completed a COVID-19 risk assessment which covers all activities in relation to face to face therapy sessions, taking place inside and in a designated therapy room. It focuses on the required control measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Alternative Therapy Options

As an alternative to face-to-face therapy, I can offer remote sessions by telephone or Zoom. If this is your preference, then please let me know.

Monitoring Health

I take regular lateral flow tests and monitor my own health. I will contact clients in advance of sessions if I test positive for COVID-19, if I have symptoms, or if I have been in close contact with another person who has tested positive. I will reschedule appointments accordingly, or offer a remote session if I am well enough to do so.

If you experience symptoms of COVID-19, or if you test positive, or have come into close contact with someone else who has tested positive within the last 10 days, please do not attend your appointment and contact me with as much notice as possible. Also, follow the government’s advice to isolate and get tested.

On Arrival

To avoid possible transmission, there are no waiting areas in the mill. Please ensure you arrive no more than 5 minutes early for your session. I will meet you outside the lift on the fourth floor 5 minutes before the start of the session. My telephone number is 07398 651 333. If you arrive early, please wait outside the premises or in your car.

Lift

The therapy room is on the fourth floor and a lift is provided for your convenience. Please ensure that you travel alone in the lift. A mask should be worn in all common areas, including the lift, corridors and toilets.

Accessing Common Areas

Common areas are maintained by Houldsworth Business & Arts Centre. A face mask must be worn in all common areas, including in the lift unless you are exempt.

Cleaning

Only a small number of clients and myself access the therapy room each day.

All hard surfaces and touch points are cleaned between client sessions and at the end of the day.

Bins are emptied between sessions.

Anti-bacterial gel is provided and should be used by the client and therapist at the beginning and end of sessions.

Tissues are provided and should be disposed of immediately in the bins provided.

Houldsworth Business & Arts Centre maintains all common areas of the building, and staff clean and disinfect touch points (door handles, locks, taps, bins) on an hourly basis and sign to this effect. Contract cleaners deep clean daily.

Social Distancing

During the session we will be seated at least 2m apart. Face are not mandatory but may be worn if clients prefer.

The room will be ventilated between sessions.

Refreshments

Unfortunately, due to the risk of transmission, no refreshments can be offered at this time. You are welcome to bring your own water or beverage.

Payment

Payments should be made via bank transfer prior to your session. To reduce the likelihood of transmission, please avoid paying with cash.
